While you might feel like you have to make the most of it while you’re at home in lockdown, it’s not just about studying, working, cleaning, or learning a new skill. You need to give yourself some time to relax and play as well. 😊

I’ve collected some games that you can play online with your friends either on your computer, mobile or both. 😉 Of course, this is just a tiny fraction of all the games out there, but hopefully, they will give you some ideas for those times you just want to switch off a bit and play. 😊

First, let’s see some classics:

1. Scrabble GO

Scrabble GO, because who doesn’t like a classic game of Scrabble! 😊 You can download it on your mobile and play this fun game for free against your friends. Is your vocabulay good enough to be the best??

2. Skribbl.io

Skribbl.io is a free, online Pictionary-style game. You get a choice of three words and you have to draw one of them for your friends to guess. When it’s their turn to draw, it’s you who’s guessing. The person with the most guesses wins. 😊 (Skribbl is only available on desktops at the moment, but there is a very similar mobile game call “Draw it”.)

3. Mahjong Time

Mahjong Time has several variations of the classic Mahjong game. You can register for free and play against your friends. Do you think you can win? 😉

4. Playingcards.io

Playingcards.io has a collection of classic tabletop and card games you can play online with your friends. Amongst others, they have Backgammon, Checkers, and a standard deck of 52 playing cards you can customize to play your favourite card games. Why don’t you and your friends give it a go? 😊

5. World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft (WoW) is one of the most famous MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online role-playing games) out there. ‘Descend into the World of Warcraft and join thousands of mighty heroes in an online world of myth, magic, and limitless adventure.’, reads on their main website.  Create your own heroes, and roam the mystical land of Azeroth together with your friends!

6. League of Legends

League of Legends (LoL) is a multiplayer online battle arena video game. Here you create your own “champion” and battle other players’ champions online. “Whether you’re playing Solo or Co-op with friends, League of Legends is a highly competitive, fast paced action-strategy game designed for those who crave a hard fought victory.” May the best champion win! 😊

7. Fortnite Battle Royale

Fortnite Battle Royale is a survival style, online video game. You can play solo, in a duo, or your own squad with your friends. You are dropped at a random place and have to gather resources to fight others while the area around you slowly shrinks down. Your goal is to be the last one alive. This game is available for free on all platforms.

8. Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is another online multiplayer battle royale style game. In PUBG, you are dropped on an island with up to 100 other people and fight till only one player left standing. As with Fortnite, you can play alone, in a duo, or with a squad.
